How to Sign up for Emby Connect

User Guide

Start by signing up for Emby Connect. Once you have your Emby Connect account it can be given to any Emby admin who will add it to your account on their system.

Go to https://app.emby.media/#!/startup/connectsignup.html to sign up

Click on the SIGN UP button to continue.

Fill out this page with user's proper information and click the CREATE MY ACCOUNT button. Follow any directions you might receive in email.

How to Add Emby Connect Email Address

You must have an Emby Connect Account first

1. Locate your Emby Server , User and Password by clicking on your server
   1. 
2. Click you Emby Server Link 
3. Login to your server with the user/password shown on your server page details
4. Once Logged in click the Gear at the top Right
   1. 
5. Click on Users
   1. 
6. Click on your Username
   1. 
7. Enter your Emby Connect email address 
   1. 
8. Go to your Email and Click I Confirm This Link
   1. 
9. You should receive a confirmation
   1. 

 

Sign Into App with Emby Connect PIN

1. Open the Emby App on your device
2. Go to https://emby.media/pin 
   1. 
3. Sign in with your Emby Connect user / password and enter your pin that is showing on the App
4. You will see Pin Confirmed
   1. 
5. Back out of your app and go back in.

Sign into Emby Connect for Web Access

1. Go to https://app.emby.media and choose Sign in with Emby Connect
   1. 
2. Sign in with your Emby Connect email/password
   1. 
3. Once signed in choose the Emby Server
   1. 

How to invite users to your BM/Appbox

1.  Click on your BM/Appbox
   1. 
2. Click on Manage Invites
   1. 
3. From this screen you can add users ( Without the Emby Connect email - it will create a local user - without a password ( you will need to change the password inside of Emby for them to connect). It is recommended that they have an Emby Connect account)

How to Remove Invited Users

1.  Click on your BM/Appbox
   1. 
2. Click on Manage Invites
   1. 
3. From this screen you can click the Down Arrow  to see Invited Users - Click the Red Trashcan to remove.

Limit Internet Streaming / Transcoding

We have found that setting this to 50 - will allow direct play to work easier and not require transcoding.

1. Select the User in your Emby Server - under Users
   1. 
2. Scroll down to Internet streaming bitrate limit (Mbps)
   1. 
3. Set this to 50 and then scroll down to save
